Malai Biocomposite is 100% natural, vegan and compostable leather alternative material made from coconut processing waste products. It combines fibres from Banana Stem, Hemp and Sisal with Bacterial Cellulose fermented on waste coconut water. All the ingredients and dyes used in the production are organic and plant based resulting in a material that is unique and has its own specific texture, tonality and character making sure we are not imitating already existing materials but rather giving space for self expression to new and better ones. Malai can be used for making accessories, bags, wallets, interior features or light casual footwear. It is designed to last for 4-8 years and there is nothing in it that the nature wouldn’t be able to retain back as a nutrient.

Certifications: PETA vegan certification , TUV bio-based - IN Process
