Cassaboard is an innovative recycled biocomposite developed by The Or Foundation’s Material Technology and Transformation Lab (MTTL) in Ghana. The material transforms post-consumer textile waste collected from Kantamanto Market into durable interior building panels. By combining discarded garments with cassava-based binders, Cassaboard creates a new value stream for textile waste while supporting local circular economy initiatives and reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry.
